A GRADE MEN'S COACH

CRAIG WHITE

Craig White has been the Club’s League coach since 2019 and brings a wealth of football experience to the Tigers, having excelled both as a player and a coach. In his inaugural year with the club, Craig led our League and Reserves sides to undefeated seasons in 2019, clinching the B-Grade & B-Reserves Premierships and guiding the Club back to A-Grade in 2020. Under his leadership, the League side secured minor premierships from 2020 to 2022 and reached Grand Finals from 2021 to 2023, ultimately claiming the flag in 2023. Craig’s remarkable achievements earned him the prestigious Perth Football League Coach of the Year award in 2022, showcasing his dedication and expertise. Supported by a robust committee and a talented group of coaches, Craig leads the way as our Club Coach, bringing with him a remarkable playing and coaching history. With 190 games for South Fremantle in the WAFL, including two league premierships, and significant coaching stints at Balmain Dockers and Claremont, Craig’s invaluable experience continues to drive our team to success.

A RESERVES MEN'S COACH

ZAC McCARREY

Zac McCarrey boasts an impressive football career spanning both East Fremantle in the WAFL and Curtin Wesley in the PFL. He commenced his journey with the East Fremantle Colts in 2011 and 2012 before joining the Curtin Wesley’s League team in 2013 and 2015, where he achieved grand final appearances each year and secured victory in 2013. After a second stint with East Fremantle’s WAFL side from 2017 to 2019, Zac returned to the Curtin Wesley league side in 2020. In the 2023 season, Zac assumed the role of reserves coach, demonstrating poise and prioritising player education over mere motivation. He emphasises playing on instinct and capitalising on individual strengths.

A GRADE WOMEN'S COACH

MARTIN EDMUNDS

Martin is life member of the Curtin Football club and has been coaching the A-Grade women’s team since its inception in 2017. He has led the team to back-to-back-to-back premierships in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and was awarded the Perth Football League coach of the year award in 2020. Martin Edmunds is a distinguished life member of the Curtin Wesley Football Club and has served as the dedicated coach of the A-Grade women’s team since their inception in 2017. Under his guidance, the team has achieved remarkable success, securing consecutive premierships in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Martin’s exceptional coaching prowess was recognised with the prestigious Perth Football League Coach of the Year award in 2020, further affirming his invaluable contributions to the team’s triumphs.

A RESERVES WOMEN'S COACH

JACK BATTRICK

Jake became a part of Tigerland in 2022 and has made significant strides in nurturing the C2 women’s team, fostering a close-knit group dynamic among players from diverse football backgrounds. Whether you’re a newcomer looking to explore the sport or an experienced player, Jake cultivates an inclusive culture within the C2 women’s program, welcoming individuals of all skill levels with open arms.

C4 MEN'S COACH

TIM WALKER

Tim is a valuable player-coach within the Club’s 3’s side in the C4 Grade. His journey with Curtin began in 2013, and he has since showcased his skills across various grades. Tim’s prowess on the field was recognized when he received the C5 best and fairest awards for the club in both 2020 and 2021. Transitioning into a coaching role, Tim played a crucial part in securing the C5 premiership in 2022 and subsequently guiding the team to promotion in the C4 grade.

C4 RESERVES MEN'S COACH

DEAN DIAMOND

Dean, a revered figure within the Curtin Wesley football club, has earned the prestigious title of both Life Member and Club Legend. Throughout his football career, he has amassed over 400 games for Curtin Wesley. Notably, Dean has also achieved success as a coach, with four premiership victories to his name, including the memorable triumph in 2023.

E1 MEN'S COACH

MATT BARNSLEY

Matt, who joined Curtin Wesley in 2012 from the Subiaco development squad, has played over 150 games for the club. Matt has previously captained the 3’s team in 2016 and the 5’s team in 2022, showcasing his leadership abilities both on and off the field. Also, he has contributed as the assistant coach for the Club’s Brett Jones Colts in both 2015 and 2023

PHIL SCOTT COLTS COACH

THOM BOWEY

Thom assumed the role of A-Colts Coach for the 2024 season, building on his extensive tenure with Curtin Wesley since joining as a player in 2016. Previously serving as the coach of the 3’s team from 2021 to 2023, Thom’s dedication and expertise have been instrumental in the team’s progress. His significant contributions were recognised with the prestigious President’s Award in 2022. Additionally, Thom played a pivotal role in securing the C5 premiership in the same year, leading the team to promotion to the C4 grade and demonstrating his exceptional coaching abilities

Andrew and Matt have been coaching the Curtin Wesley Integrated team since 2021, leading the team to premiership victories in both 2021 and 2023. Their coaching philosophy emphasises not only on-field success but also the development of a positive culture, strong relationships, and personal growth among team members. They prioritise creating an environment where players can enjoy themselves while striving for excellence, fostering a sense of camaraderie and fun both on and off the field.
